While I prefer playing out scenes through AIM, I know that this isn't always possible due to scheduling conflicts. Therefore, I'm totally willing to do threads but you'll probably have to beat me within an inch of my life to keep me on task with them. I tend to read my responses while I'm at work on my phone and then I get distracted. Attention span of a flea, this one! Still, I'd love to play and as long as you are okay with me being slow sometimes, I'm up for just about anything. Now, as far as the X-rated stuff goes, I'm willing to play those scenes out but that's not my main focus when it comes to RP so it is safe to say that most of those scenes will probably fade to black. It really just depends on the amount of time I have to concentrate on it. And things like that? Definitely for IM RP only. Trying to keep up with a scene like that is damn near impossible over the course of a few days.
Layout borrowed from ~quillen and altered by myself. If you are or you know the original coder, let me know so I can properly credit them! All graphics are mine unless otherwise noted.
Information on the Lucchese family can be found here. Any articles posted or mention of Vittore Navagato are purely for RP purposes. I may use real articles here and there, following the rather large mob sweep that occurred in early 2011. Since Vittore doesn't actually exist and a crime boss from the Lucchese family wasn't actually arrested by the FBI during the sweep, I have altered information and am using the trial stats for Andrew Russo. Please be considerate enough to play along!

a story of a girl.
Tori would probably be the first person to admit that she grew up with blinders on. She'd never been all that close to her father, had never paid much attention to what he did on a daily basis. Her childhood was spent fighting off every attempt her mother made at turning her into some kind of Brooklyn debutante. She preferred the comfort of a pair of worn in sneakers and an oversized t-shirt that had once belonged to her brother. She liked playing t-ball in the street with the boys, always wore her hair long but kept it tucked under a baseball cap so you couldn't even tell she was a girl. She'd come home with smudges on her face worse than her brother, leaving her mother annoyed and complaining to a father who was far too busy to care. It was probably better that way. Tori wouldn't have wanted his attention. Although that's not entirely true. She would have loved to be Daddy's little girl, would have liked to have the old man tied around her little finger so she could have whatever she wanted whenever she wanted it. But that wasn't really what her childhood was like.
Her childhood, however, was by no means 'bad.' Her father was in the mob. He was a busy man, working his way up the ranks of the Lucchese family under the wing of Vic Amuso. His focus was on what he needed to do, his focus was on her older brother and teaching him the ropes. Tori was the extra child and she didn't have the right chromosomes to be considered important. Her brother always made sure she felt important, though. Maybe that's why she clung to him so much despite their age difference. It was around the time that he started college that Tori started acting out, flaunting things she probably never should have. It was around that time that the family moved to a condo in Manhattan, around that time that Vittore took over for Vic.
Had the family remained in Brooklyn, things might have gone a little differently. Everyone in Brooklyn knew Vittoria Navagato, knew not to mess with her. They knew her as the tomboy who could kick their ass without a second thought. The boys in Manhattan that got to meet then teenaged Tori didn't know the tomboy. No, they knew the girl who wore shirts that were too tight and skirts that were too short. They knew the girl who snuck into bars with a fake i.d. when she was only fifteen. They knew the girl who had been called 'trashy' on more than one occasion. Of course, had the family stayed in Brooklyn, teenage Tori wouldn't have met her best friend in one of those bars while taking care of a few college boys that thought they deserved more than just a peek at the goods. And by taking care of, I definitely do not mean that they got rewarded for their stupidity.
Tori got herself into trouble on more than one occasion while she was living in New York. Whether it was in Brooklyn or Manhattan, it didn't matter. Whether it was in high school (a Catholic all-girls school, mind you!) or at the community college she went to, it didn't matter. Trouble just seemed to follow the girl. Hell, it even followed her to California when she decided to apply to the University of Southern California so that she could go stay with her brother (the big shot actor!) in Los Angeles.
Of course, not all of her time in LA was consumed with trouble. The first few months, though they earned her the nickname of 'Trashy Buns' from a neighbor (who eventually became her boyfriend!) and a creepy ass stalker named Farmer Ted (he worked at the front desk of her apartment complex!), really weren't so bad. She got a job at a restaurant hostessing. She was doing great in school. And she made a number of friends, though none were as amazing as her pal Logan who she left back in New York with his wife (who sadly died, but didn't really .. long story involving her Dad!). Really, the year or so there was pretty great!
And then she met Romeo DiCarlo, around the same time she met and started dating a horror fiction writer named Eion. The bitter side of Tori likes to blame everything that's gone bad in her life over the last five years on Romeo. Some of it can be, rather easily. But other parts are just a matter of the trials and tribulations of life. However, what happened to Eion (the boy who gave her a dog that she named after Inigo Montoya from the Princess Bride!) falls somewhere in the middle. It's tragic how just knowing the wrong person can be the cause of your death. Knowing Tori was the cause of his. And you'd think that Tori would be used to being surrounded by death, to being surrounded by murder considering her father. But she wasn't. She couldn't understand why anyone would want to murder a guy as innocent and sweet as Eion was. But because Tori was 'friends' with Rome and somebody had it out for him? People close to Tori were getting picked off. She feared for her life. She feared for the life of her brother, her brother's best friend (and eventual wife!), her favorite blue-eyed neighbor.
Somewhere amid the insanity, a connection was spawned between Romeo and Tori. They clung to each other to the point where a spur of the moment wedding took place, hoping that the news would make whoever was out to get them realize that they wouldn't succeed. And yet, it was moments after their 'I dos' that Romeo was arrested as a suspect for murder. While he was released only a few hours later, it seemed like things were only getting worse. They were. Days later, Tori vanished.
No one should spend their first three weeks as a newlywed the way that Tori spent hers. Kidnapped by some vindictive bitch who wrongfully thought that Romeo had raped her sister, causing the girl to break and go insane, Tori was stabbed, beaten, tied up, held for nearly an entire week without food and water. Had she not been found at the exact minute she was with the woman's hands wrapped tightly around her neck, she wouldn't be here today. Guess she should be thankful for Rome since he was the one who found her at the church where they rushed to get married, battered and broken beneath a woman who wound up dead at the hand's of her scared and angry husband. Two weeks of a medically induced coma were what followed after a number of surgeries repaired the damage that had been done. They found out later that the woman, Neve Peri, killed her sister to end her misery before going on a spree that left 4 other people without their lives.
Looking back on it, Tori would probably say that had been the beginning of the end for her marriage. She and Rome had never really knew one another. It was the stressful situation that threw them together and as things began to calm, they began to pull apart. Which wouldn't have been so bad had Tori not wound up pregnant. The last thing she ever wanted was to be a single parent. But after a year of marriage and six years of their twins being alive, that's exactly what happened. Sure, they had a lot of good times together but looking back on it, Tori knows that she and Rome were never meant to be together. They were just too different.
Life since the divorce had resulted in a more mature Tori. She was no longer the overly flirty girl that was often called trashy. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children. She became good friends with her ex-husband's brother's ex-fiance (I heard it from my mother's brother's hair dresser's son's third cousin twice removed!) and they even shared Tori's house for a number of months. That is before Vittore got himself arrested in a big FBI sweep that nabbed over a hundred mob members in one shot. For almost six years, Tori had lived in the sunny California weather and with the break of one big news story, she was catching a plane back to her hometown of Brooklyn. This time, for keeps. And with her return to New York came a lot of new opportunities including finishing her schooling (which had been put on hold for the length of time she was married to Rome and for almost a year before that!) and reuniting with her former blue-eyed neighbor, a reunion that sparked a relationship more than five years in the making.

she's got the beat.
♫ I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet. You thought an angel swept you off your feet, but I'm about to turn up the heat. I'm here for your entertainment ...
♫ Wind me up and watch me go. Where she stops, nobody knows. A good excuse to be a bad influence on you .. and you .. and you!
♫ I always said that I would make mistakes. I'm only human and that's my saving grace. I'll fall as hard as I try so don't be blinded. See me as I really am. I have flaws and sometimes I even sin, so pull me from that pedestal. I don't belong there.
♫ Louder than sirens, louder than bells. Sweeter than heaven and hotter than hell.
♫ She's a beautiful girl and everything around her is a silver pool of light. The people who surround her feel the benefit of it, it makes you calm. She holds you captivated in her palm ...
♫ You are a fever, you are a fever. You ain't born typical ...
♫ I hate to break it to you, babe, but I'm not drowning. There's no one here to save. Who cares if you disagree? You are not me. Who made you king of anything?
